Additional £100m funding to the NHS may benefit charities on a local level

A £100m cash boost to the NHS to improve local services, may filter through to charities working in the health sector.

Provided by the Department of Health, the funding will go to doctors in emerging Clinical Commissioning Groups to improve local services and reduce pressures on the NHS during colder months. Clinicians in these groups will spend the money directly on local care services that best meet their patients’ clinical needs and prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital.
